Whittam Cox takes on the 9 Edges Challenge for Sheffield 1000

This year, the Whittam Cox team will once again be pulling on their walking boots to raise funds for Sheffield 1000.

Colleagues will take on the Peak District’s 9 Edges Challenge, with a choice of 10, 16 or 23-mile routes. Offering three distances will enable more of our team to get involved, while bringing everyone together behind the same shared purpose.

The full challenge begins at Ladybower Reservoir and crosses nine of the Peak District’s best-known gritstone edges, including Derwent Edge, Stanage Edge, Froggatt Edge and Curbar Edge, before finishing at Birchen Edge. Covering approximately 23 miles and more than 1,200 metres of ascent, it will be a demanding day for those completing the entire route.

We are so thankful to Whittam Cox for their latest fundraising effort for The Sheffield 1000. Their support means so much to us and the money raised will fund donations to at least 3 charities in need across the city.

Chair of Trustees, Sheffield 1000

Sheffield 1000 is built around a simple idea: bringing together people who each give £1 a week and combining those contributions to provide regular £1,000 donations to charities, community groups and good causes across the city.

The charity supports a wide range of local initiatives, from healthcare and food provision to youth projects, education and community activities. Each contribution becomes part of something bigger, helping local organisations continue work that makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives.

“We wanted this year’s challenge to give as many colleagues as possible the opportunity to take part. The different routes mean everyone can contribute in a way that works for them, while still sharing the experience as one team. Sheffield 1000 demonstrates what can be achieved when people come together behind a simple idea. We’re proud to support its work and hope every mile completed will help raise valuable funds for organisations making a real difference across our city.”
Jon Godwin

Executive Director, Whittam Cox

Supporting the communities around us is important to our practice. Through this year’s challenge, we hope to help Sheffield 1000 extend its impact even further.

If you can, please support the team and help us make every mile count.
