The Railings, has now completed at Middlewood Locks.

Marketing Manager

Delivered in partnership with Scarborough Group International, this phase introduces 184 canal-side homes, including 13 mews and townhouses, two apartment blocks of 10 and 12 storeys, and private residents’ gardens. These are complemented by inviting public spaces that seamlessly integrate with the neighbourhood’s existing environment.

Middlewood Locks is now a thriving, multi-award-winning neighbourhood, home to over 2,300 residents. Its unique city-village vibe, generous green spaces, and picturesque waterfront setting make it one of Salford’s most vibrant places to live. With a growing selection of shops, bars, and restaurants, all within walking distance of the city centre, the neighbourhood continues to flourish.

The design of The Railings draws inspiration from Salford’s rich industrial heritage, incorporating traditional brickwork, Crittall-style windows, and cast-iron detailing, while adding modern features like private balconies and gardens. This thoughtful blend of heritage and contemporary design creates a welcoming and dynamic living experience.

“This milestone builds on the strong foundations of earlier phases, further establishing Middlewood Locks as a model for sustainable urban living. We’re proud to see this phase come to life and confident it will enhance the area’s vibrancy and sense of community."
