Hove Central: A New Neighbourhood Comes to Life

by Anna Lingard
Marketing Manager

Our latest film captures everyday life at Hove Central following the completion of the development in Brighton.

Hove Central has transformed the former Sackville Road Trading Estate into a new neighbourhood designed around people, connection, and long-term community. Our latest film captures the completed development and the public spaces, routes, and shared moments that now define everyday life across the scheme.

Designed for Moda Living in collaboration with Apache and JRL Midgard, the development delivered 564 new homes alongside landscaped public realm, amenity spaces, and improved connections through the site.

The film focuses on the experience of moving through Hove Central, from quieter landscaped spaces to more active streets and shared areas. It reflects the ambition behind the project: to create a neighbourhood that feels open, walkable, welcoming, and connected to the wider character of Hove.

Our approach centred on balancing density with wellbeing, creating spaces that support daily life and encourage interaction between residents, visitors, and the surrounding community. Green space, pedestrian movement, and activated ground-floor uses all played an important role in shaping the identity of the neighbourhood.

Now complete and occupied, Hove Central has become an important new part of the town’s urban fabric — designed to support modern living while creating a strong sense of place and community.

Watch the film below to further explore the project.
