Whittam Cox Architects Joins Sheffield 1000 Charity’s Corporate Club to Support Local Causes

We're delighted to announce our partnership with 'The Sheffield 1000 Charity' as a corporate club member, further expanding our commitment to supporting local charities and communities in the Sheffield City Region.

Established in Summer 2022 by patron and TV presenter Dan Walker, ‘The Sheffield 1000 Charity’ aims to enlist 1000 individuals to donate £1 weekly, funding a £1000 donation to a different local charity each week.

The charity has recently introduced a ‘Corporate Club’ for companies to engage as partners, with a single annual donation of £1000, generously match-funded by Westfield Health.

Jon Godwin, Director, and Charity Lead, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “As a socially responsible practice rooted in Sheffield, we’re excited to collaborate with ‘The Sheffield 1000 Charity’ to give back to our community. Our involvement reflects our dedication to supporting local causes and promoting social value.”

The charity’s inclusive model allows anyone to become a member and nominate their preferred charity, ensuring equal opportunity for participation. A diverse judging panel selects the weekly charity recipient from nominations received, promoting fairness and transparency.

Our involvement aligns with our longstanding commitment to social responsibility and community engagement with a track record of supporting local charities such as Bluebell Wood and Ashgate Hospice for over 15 years.

Dan Walker, Patron of Sheffield 1000 Charity, expressed his gratitude, stating, “A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Whittam Cox Architects for joining us as one of our charity partners. Your dedication to identifying and supporting those in need within the community aligns perfectly with our mission. Together, we’re poised to make a genuine difference for the people of Sheffield, and we’re incredibly excited about the impact we can create together.”
