ULI Residential Council visit to Brent Cross Town

We were delighted to sponsor the annual summer Residential Council Day for the Urban Land Institute at Brent Cross town on Thursday 18th July. The event was attended by around 30 guests, representing various member organisations including Homes England, JLL, ICG Real Estate and Apache Capital.

Oli Rifkind, Executive Director of Related Argent, kicked off the event with an insightful overview of the journey of Brent Cross Town so far. He explained the various phases of development in progress and coming forward. He detailed the ongoing and upcoming development phases, emphasising the four pledges that guide their mission to create a Future Park Town for London. This ambitious project will ultimately feature 6,700 homes, 3 million sq. ft. of office space, and over 50 acres of green space and parkland.

Nick Riley, Board Director, from Whittam Cox Architects, followed with a brief overview of their five-year involvement in the project. He highlighted their work in delivering a large, combined basement and five separate residential buildings, totalling 930 homes, in collaboration with Related Argent and construction partners Galliford Try and JRL Midgard.

The event culminated with a panel session led by Ashley Perry, chair of the ULI Residential Council and Investment Director at Apache Capital. The panel featured Jamie Smith, Development Director at Related Argent, and Mathilda Guittard, Investment Director at Octopus. They discussed the importance of partnerships and the investment potential of Brent Cross Town.

The event was hosted in the Pavilion adjacent to Claremont Park, which houses a large masterplan model and two fully furnished show apartments. These apartments are replicas of the homes that are being delivered, offering attendees a true sense of the project’s future.
