Paul has gained extensive experience at senior level across all RIBA work stages. Notably in London and other major UK sites, he has worked on building types such as premium residential, commercial, mixed-use, cultural and education.
Paul‘s speciality is driving design quality and consistency from front-end to delivery. Being able to forge close relationships throughout the industry allows him to build and lead cohesive and effective project teams.
Recently, Paul has helped to design and develop Park House in London, which covers a site area of approx 1.04 acres at the west end of Oxford Street – the largest development there for the last 40 years. This is a high-quality urban regeneration development, integrating three floors of retail space, premium offices and 39 high-specification residential units in one impressive building.
Paul heads up our London office and manages our Design team across all regions to raise the profile of our creative abilities and complement our technical excellence. One of his tasks is developing new business in London and the South East, and cementing our commitment to the region.
Paul has had recent ‘client side’ experience, acting as Design Director at REM. During his time at REM Paul has developed an understanding of the challenges faced by clients and funders when pulling together schemes and design teams. This insight informs Paul’s approach to driving efficiencies in design, development and delivery.
Outside of work, Paul has a young family and enjoys running marathons (and avoiding high carb foods!).
“You can’t divorce the human and the built form. The two have to coexist and inform each other.”
