David Skelton

David is a chartered architect, who joined the firm in 2004 and two years later was appointed as a member of our management team, where he’s responsible for leading projects in various sectors.

David applies a hands-on approach to design and implementation, working collaboratively with project teams on schemes such as large town centre and mixed use developments, national retail roll-outs and complicated, planning-sensitive projects, including listed buildings and structures in conservation areas.

His experience extends to every property sector, including residential, student accommodation, hospitality, industrial, health and retail. He’s also an expert in specialist areas such as biomass energy generation and radioactive protection.

Championing good office practice, David oversees our quality management system and was instrumental in our practice successfully receiving accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001 in 2009.

David also recognises the importance of environmental sustainability and implemented our ISO 14001 environmental management system, obtaining accreditation in 2015.

Outside work David enjoys walking his dog, playing darts, and training and teaching karate – he’s Vice President of a karate federation.

“Attention to detail and positive team moral make for a successful project.”
