Hove Central Reaches Milestone in Urban Transformation

We’re delighted to announce that our project Hove Central in Brighton has achieved a key milestone with the completion of its first phase, marking a significant moment in the transformation of the former Sackville Road Trading Estate into a vibrant urban village.

Working with our client Moda Living, in collaboration with Apache and JRL Midgard, the project introduces over 500 homes for rent alongside an array of public amenities, signalling a new era for Hove.

Paul Rogers, Director commented, “Realising the first phase of completion is a major milestone for us; it’s been a real journey to this point in designing and delivering the first buildings as part of an entirely new Build to Rent neighbourhood, including its integration in its context and place.”

The project, aptly named Hove Central, is envisioned as a multigenerational neighbourhood, boasting over 820 new homes, with 564 designated as build-to-rent apartments. Spread across 8.8 acres, the development prioritises green spaces, pedestrian-friendly routes, and communal areas, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

“We are very proud of the emerging outcome,” Paul added, emphasising the importance of community engagement, and considered design in shaping the development. “We’d like to congratulate our client Moda and their partners including Apache and JRL Midgard for their work in delivering this important scheme. We are looking forward to seeing residents move in and the remainder of this development complete in the coming months. We are confident this will become a thriving new neighbourhood and a real destination in Hove.”

Tony Brooks, Managing Director at Moda Living, underscored the project’s transformative impact, stating, “This is a momentous stage in our regeneration of the former Sackville Road Trading Estate.” He highlighted the strategic location of the site adjacent to Hove station and emphasised the project’s contribution to the Hove Station Quarter.

With its considered design and focus on community, Hove Central is poised to redefine urban living in Hove, creating a dynamic and inclusive neighbourhood for generations to come.
