Located within Ballymore and Oxley’s Royal Wharf development in Newham, Pinnacle House rises 14 storeys as a prominent marker building overlooking Minoco Park and the High Street. Designed by Mæ, the scheme was conceived as a confident civic presence—bringing 110 new homes together with active ground-floor cafés and restaurants.
We were appointed as Executive Architects to translate this design vision into a high-quality, buildable reality. Working closely with the concept architect, façade consultants and specialist fabricators, we led the technical coordination and delivery of the building.
Materiality and detail were central to its identity. Scalloped slab edges reference oyster shells discovered during dock excavations, while oyster shell aggregate is embedded within the rusticated ground-floor colonnade. Above, polished façades contrast with textured lower levels to reinforce the building’s vertical expression. Modern Methods of Construction enabled five-metre-high façade sections to be fabricated off-site, ensuring precision and quality.
Pinnacle House delivers 110 contemporary homes and activates the surrounding public realm, strengthening the character and distinctiveness of the wider Royal Wharf neighbourhood.
